Bread Dumplings

This delicate dumplings are the perfect side dish for stews and ragouts!

Ingredients for 8 dumplings


0,5 kg bread cubes

0,5 l milk

2 eggs

1 onion

some butter

salt and pepper

a pinch of nutmeg

a bunch of parsley

some flour





Method


Chop onion finely. Heat up milk, add in the eggs and mix well. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes. Heat some butter in a pan. Add in the onions and cook until translucent.


Wash parsley, pat dry and chop finely. Add parsely and onions to the bread cubes and mix well. Season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.


Form 8 dumplings with flour. Bring plenty of salted water to a boil. Put the dumplings in the cooking water and boil for 15 minutes.
