Creamy mushrooms with Bacon and dumplings

Delicate mushrooms in a creamy sauce and delicious dumplings - the ideal recipe for cold days.

Ingredients - serves 4


500g mushrooms

250g heavy cream

1 bunch of parsley

250g bred cubes

250ml milk

1 egg

3 tablespoons of flour

30g butter

2 onions

100g bacon

Salt and pepper

Some olive oil





Method


For the dumplings add the bread crumbs into a bowl. Mix egg and warm milk and add to the bowl. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes. In the meantime chop onions finely. Heat up butter in a pan and saute onions until translucent. Add onions and butter to the bread cubes.


Wash parsley, pat dry and chop finely. Add parsley, salt and pepper and flour to the bowl and mix well. With some flour form 6-8 dumplings and set aside. Bring plenty of salted water to a boil, add in the dumplings and cook for 15 minutes. Remove dumplings from the pot and set aside.


For the mushrooms, wash mushrooms and clean them. Cut into thin slices. Chop bacon into fine cubes. Heat some olive oil in a pan, add in the bacon and the remaining onions and cook until translucent. Add in mushrooms and fry. Add in the heavy cream nd cook for 15 minutes until creamy. Serve mushrooms with dumplings.
