Delicious Pumpkin Cake with Chocolate

This delicious pumpkin cake recipe with cinnamon and loads of chocolate, is all you need this fall! This recipe is super easy to make & so delicious - let's get started!

Ingredients
300g pumpkin
150g softened butter
2 eggs
150g sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
300g flour
2 tsp. baking powder
150g dark chocolate
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
a pinch of nutmeg
a pinch of grounded cloves
Method
Peel pumpkin, remove seeds & cut into pieces. Cook in a small pot of water, until soft. Drain water & work into puree with a handheld blender. Set aside and allow to cool off a little. Beat up softened butter, sugar & eggs until creamy. Mix flour, spices, baking powder & vanilla extract and add into the bowl. Add in pumpkin puree and combine.
Heat the oven to 180°C. Grease a springform with butter & line with parchment paper. Fill the batter into the tin & smooth down. Bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes, until golden brown. Allow to cool off completely, before removing from the tin. Chop chocolate roughly & melt over a waterbath. Pour the chocolate over the cake & cover with chocolate.
