Easy marble cake with cherries - this delicious cake recipe is all you need! No cherry season? No problem! Use cherry compote instead! You will love this quick and easy cake recipe!

Ingredients
100g dark chocolate
1 tbsp. cocoa
500g cherries
400g heavy cream
100ml milk
250g softened butter
380g sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
450g flour
Method
Wash cherries & remove stones. Line a spring form or loaf pan with parchment paper. Chop chocolate roughly, bring 100g of heavy cream to a boil and melt chocolate in it. Set aside and allow to cool off a little. Heat oven to 160°C.
Beat up butter, 300g sugar & vanilla extract, until creamy. Add in eggs seperately and whisk until creamy. Mix flour an baking powder & work into the batter. Seperate the batter into 2 portions. Fold melted chocolate into one half & cherries and milk into the other half.
Add the batter into the pan in portions & create swirls, using a fork. Bake in preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes. In the meantime, beat up remaining sugar & heavy cream. Remove cake from the oven and allow to cool off completely. Garnish cooled cake with whisked cream & cherries.
