Juicy Chocolate Hazelnut Cake

Here is a simple and delicious Chocolate–Hazelnut Cake recipe!

Ingredients - for a loaf pan
200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate
150 g (⅔ cup) butter
150 g (¾ cup) sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
4 eggs
200 g (2 cups) ground hazelnuts (or almonds)
100 g (¾ cup) all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 pinch of salt
Method
Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F. Melt the chocolate and butter together (in a microwave or water bath). Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Stir in the melted chocolate-butter mixture.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and ground nuts. Fold into the batter.
Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake for 40–50 minutes (use a toothpick to check).
