"Krautfleckerl" - Austrian Cabbage Pasta

An Austrian classic! This quick and easy dish is ready in under 30 minutes. It is healthy, vegan and incredible delicious!

Ingredients - serves 2
400g cabbage
180g square-shaped pasta
1 onion
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. marjoram
salt and pepper
caraway seed
some oil
Method
Divide cabbage into halves and remove stem. Cut cabbage into small squares. Peel onion and chop finely.
Heat some oil in a pan. Add sugar and caramelize. Add in chopped onions and cook until onions turn golden brown. Add cabbage to the pan, season well with salt, pour in 150ml water and stir well. Let simmer at medium heat for about 15 minutes.
Cook pasta in plenty of salted water in a large pot. Drain pasta and add to the pan. Season well with salt and pepper and serve with marjoram and cararway seed.
